As companies return to the office, I am finding more and more frequently that conference call participants are located in a ‘cube farm’. The ambient noise is highly distracting to others on the call, the participant is hesitant to contribute so as to not disturb their neighbours, and cube neighbours are privy to sometimes confidential information. Companies should provide enough private rooms for these calls, and teleconference attendees should use them.
